RULES
RULE #1
Don’t be a dick. This comes from our friends at the Breck-Epic. It covers a lot of ground.
Rule #2
Don’t litter. Any rider found littering in the backcountry will be immediately disqualified from the event
Rule #3
No support crews on course. Support crews are not allowed on course except to pick up a rider who is abandoning the event. If a support crew is found to be on course, that rider will be immediately disqualified from the event.
Rule #4
A helmet is required at all times while on course.
Rule #5
No pedal assist or other “e-style bikes”. If you have to ask “why not?” this event is not for you.
FAQ
What kind of bike should I ride?
This is open for discussion. In some places a CX bike is the perfect tool. In other places, you want a MTB. It’s pretty safe to say “Leave your road bike at home.” If we were you, we’d toe the start line on a CX bike with 40c tires or larger or a hardtail mtb.
Are there Aid Stations?
Yes, we will have X of them with GU products and other traditional aid station fare.
Can I have a support crew?
Support crews are not allowed on course except to pick up a rider who is abandoning the event. If a support crew is found to be on course (except at official checkpoints), that rider will be immediately disqualified from the event.
Will the course be marked?
Yes, the entire route will be fully marked. We will also provide a GPX file for uploading to your favorite GPS device
Will there be time cut offs?
Yes. This is to ensure the safety of all the riders and our staff.
Can I get a refund?
No. We will not be offering refunds. We work very hard to put on an amazing event for all of our riders, and amazing events cost a tremendous amount of time and money to organize. If you cannot make the event, please contact us. We can transfer or roll your entry into the following year.
How long will this race take?
We expect faster times to be around the 4.5 hour mark. Slower times could push over 7 hours.
